Towing Mirrors.......... question . .

hi all

In two weeks I pick up a new {new to me ;-) } caravan, its 8ft wide, so I am guessing I need some mirror extensions.....

what type / make do I go for ? "standard" tow mirrors strap or fasten to the normal car mirror as there is enought length, but will the same type of mirror fixing work on a Defender 110 mirror ???

You don't actually need tow mirrors, just push the mirrors out, that's why they have a towing position. If not you can fit wolf mirrors which are 3 inches longer I believe.

I tow my caravan with mirrors pushed out. But legally I think you must actually be able to see both sides of the caraven through your mirrors.

ok, thanks guys

will try standard mirrors pushed oyt just to get the caravan home {only 80miles} and see whats what..... will see if Paddocks have the longer wolf arms in stock also just incase

I'm sure it was mentioned on here a while ago that the bigger LDV vans use the same mirrors as the wolf. May be cheaper from your local scrappy.

Plenty of places sell them and they are so reasonable there is no need to go searching the scrapyard. Long arm c/w standard head or long arm c/w large head, both are available for about £20 each.
