i was in a low mood,
so i was pickin a few holes i guess,
but yeh gooner, it was a bit of valuable experience, and one guy offered but i said no,
truth is i benefitted by not feeling helpless, and that counts for a lot to me.
Although like BoB says, and it saddens me to agree, most peeps do suck, the panic, fear and selfcentredness sets in and they just sit there bellyaching, whining, or looking the other way, pretending not to be there or hoping not to be noticed....its fookin nuerotic.
.......smile, be happy, help, offerthe man in a V8 something for his trouble, simple stuff really.

Too many years ago (god I feel friggin old) had a company Montego which died after only 1.5k (cam pulley came off and broke the camshaft in 3). Waited for 2 hours for the AA man. Finally came and decided to tow me back to garage. Rope tow and no engine so no brake servo. Came off the A12 at Gun hill to go back down the A12 which was a steep hill to a give way under the road. Alright for the AA man but I had a full 18 stone on the pedal and I must of missed his tow ball by millimetres. Then the AA man was ****ed off cos I didn't keep the rope tight, should of put it round his neck!

A rigid bar is not a legal requirement as a specific point of law. Police could however claim the act of towing with rope was unsafe on the same lines as driving without due care. Tow rope must not exceed 1.5 metres without a marker flag in the middle and must not exceed 4.5 metres at all. There appears to be no distinction between trailers and cars
