yu know now ! think yu need to beg steal or borrow it again & take it for a run & report back wot you find !i honestly had no idea you had to go for a run to establish faults,
no it could cure staring faults, misfires or sump filling with dieselchanged injector seals on my td5 today but hasnt made any difference to power, was told it would but nope,
what have you done as a list ?Its just guttless james especially under load towing etc, done everthing to it but still same
that needs looking at, you should feel boost as engine is revved by holding the hose just before inlet manifoldCould it be the turbo? recently drove from yorkshire to norfolk and back and it had used oil! had to top up when i got back, about a litre, and as far as i can see its not got a leak,
shows you have boost, but it feels gutless but runs ok?Yes i have had someone rev the engine whilst i hold the hose squeezed in and after around 1800 revs i cant keep it squeezed in, have you any ideas?
first thoughts are fuel related but im thinking on it,more info the betterwhat could be the cause any ideas?
this doesn't mean to say you have full boost ..you will need a pressure gauge and check boost pressures under loadYes i have had someone rev the engine whilst i hold the hose squeezed in and after around 1800 revs i cant keep it squeezed in, have you any ideas?
enough to know its not an issuethis doesn't mean to say you have full boost ..you will need a pressure gauge and check boost pressures under load

if the engine is burning oil this can be a few things like piston rings valve guide seals breathing system ... or even turbo bypassing check end float on the turbo push and pull on the turbo impellor bearingCould it be the turbo? recently drove from yorkshire to norfolk and back and it had used oil! had to top up when i got back, about a litre, and as far as i can see its not got a leak,
