If yours has a problem and is not like your friends std one, then it has a problem!!!, get it on diagnostics, a remap may not help if it has a basic fault.
Cheers
My TD5 Disco was pretty sluggish on the hills. Disconnecting (and subsequently replacing) the MAF did wonders for it.
I recently pulled a pretty heavy (2+t) trailer with mine around the Bristol Ring Road - had no issues accelerating away from the roundabouts. And it did the hill out of Bath pretty well too.
Whats student crap lolMine flies up there with a full load of student crap
Cheers rob the fuel pump has been out and cleaned and pressure tested and also tested the flow rate it was spot on! i also changed fuel pressure regulator! just found out today after checking oil after last weeks trip to norfolk that the oil level had dropped and was nearly on min! topped it up and it took at least a litre, cant see leaks or dripsYou might want to check your fuel pump - I experienced everything you're describing before my pump gave up the ghost halfway to Manchester a few years back. Saying that I wasn't towing.
A healthy TD5 disco wouldn't be struggling to pull past 2000 revs.
