i charged £50 it was late on a friday afternoon (read going home time) there were two of us(me n me mate as i needed someone i trust in the van when i pull it out) and the bloke thought he was being ripped off! ffs it would have taken the AA or someone 4 hours to decide to get a wagon in to get him out and even then he were a courier and weren't a member of a recovery service

I think it's fair to say that if you go offroading with a group, someone will break summit. (especially if they comes from the dorset area;):p).

I think it's also safe to say that whenever you can't afford to get stuck cos yer on yer own, you WILL get stuck. I like to have several back-up plans.;)

Last year I smacked my track rod arms and bent em pretty badly while on Salisbury plain.:doh: Ever since then I've carried a full spare set onboard even though my landy now has heavy duty ones fitted. It's not uncommon for things like jacks to sink, colapse, break etc. I like to know that I've got enough kit onboard.

I also carry a small first aid kit, a large 50 person one, 3 fire extinguishers, foil blankets, disposable rain capes, 2 full sets of waterproofs etc etc.:D:D:D

A) crane
B) That means stripping all the ply out. I usually use suction 'Rescue; signs. I'm looking into making some removeable sign boards to fit where the side rear windows are blanked on my landy. I need 2 sets though. One for my own jobs and onefor my works jobs.:rolleyes:
 
Hiab - like hoover - its a manufactures name used to describe a particular appliance - in this case a lorry mounted crane - it is an abbreviation for Hydrauliska Industri AB.
