Freelander 1 Tow bar flashing beeper

I have just fitted a tow bar and wish to fit the flasher audible beeper. I would like to avoid using scotch- loks which in my opinion look untidy so can a more tidy wiring solution and beeper be recommended.

Scotch blocks, imho are for Emergency repair only. They creat a way for water/damp and corrosion to get into the wiring and will only cause problems down the line.
There are two schools of thought after that. Solder or crimp. Personally, I prefer to solder and use heat-shrink tubing to seal the join. Although some will argue that a rigid solder joint will be more prone to failure from vibration where as because crimp fittings and not rigid and allow a small amount of movement so will ‘absorb’ the vibration without damaging the joint. This does of course assume that the crimping/soldering is of a good standard in the first place..... if you’re new to it then get some scrap wire and get some practice away from the vehicle first, preferably with someone who knows what they are doing to help you along the way. Or fit the correct flasher relay (assuming Freelander 1) and the tow light on the dash works!

I have to admit, where do I find the flasher relay?
My thoughts on fitting a bleeper were that the noise would make sure I cancel the indicator

The indicators should cancel themselves.
The towing flasher unit illuminates the caravan picture on the dash, in unison with the normal dash tell tale, if the trailer indicators are working. There's no need for any other wiring, as all that's needed is already fitted. You just need the flasher unit to activate the dash warning.
