Hi i am fitting a tow bar to my p38 {1999} i know there is a connecter you just plug the electrics into but do you have to drill a hole to thread the electrics from the tow bar. thanks

if you open the offside rear lamp access area, theres a little hole at the bottom of there. Run it through.

it's a bit fiddly. Thankfully I have ape arms. You might want to get somebody to pull it through while you push it from below.

Just poke the blanking grommet out. The factory fit socket and lead shoutl come with a grommett attached..it's just plug in and go. I used M5 X 60mm long stainless socket cap screws & nuts to attach the socket to the bumper (From Ebay), won't rust and easy to remove if you need to change the socket.
There is also a socket behind the sub woofer for the 12S socket, but you will need to run a 12v+ fused supply from the battery. Shout if you need more info on that.:behindsofa:

I am about to wire up my P38 1997 4.6 HSE towbar just with a 12N socket and thought I would just solder to the wires on the socket behind the rear wee panel but have been told that I need to use a MP3877 7 way bypass relay or I will screw the computer and get fault readings and all sorts of problems. Can you please advise me as I've been given bad advice before from this guy.

Also can I take a feed from my reverse lights to a reversing camera as my dear wife does not seem to be able to use mirror's, "multi task yeah right" lol.

Thanks in advance Don.
