Hi all. I've just entered the landrover world and bought my first rangerover p38 1997 2.5 dse auto . I've had her for two weeks shes rough but shes mine. After 10 years of wanting one I bought her from a farm with mot and driving. Got her home and the battery died. Shes got the dreaded key code lock out on permanently now. I've changed the door actuator and tested the electrics. But as is my luck I cant enter the code with the key as the message is on the display constantly. I've tried disconnecting the battery hold the terminals together to do a reset but alarm still goes off and key lockout is still on the display. I'm abit lost on what to do next. Some people mention a nanocom or a Hawkeye but the £500 cost if it doesn't work is quite substantial and the specialist near me doesn't have the software to enter the key code into the becm.
