Top mounted snorkel

Looking to install a snorkel on my 84 defender 90, 200tdi air intake is on the top of wing and no matter where i look i cant seem to find a snorkel that mounts on top of the wing.

Does anybody know of a supplier for this or will i have to change the wing/cut a hole in it.

Any help much appreciated

i have a 200tdi disco engine in my 90, i have a home made snorkel. every time i looked at one to buy i didn't think they would fit.

i have been told if you put a 300tdi turbo on it is easier to fit a snorkel, ??? im goin to try this later this week
 
A lot of people just by a snorkel made for the intake on the side of the wing, then just cut the hole and fill the existing one. Can't be too hard...
 
Looks like ill be having a look at a home made version... hopefully wont be too difficult.....
or a bottom part to fit to a side mounted snorkel maybe?

it is mate, if you have the disco engine, the air intake pipe is very close to the back of the alternator :mad:
that's why im putting a 300tdi turbo on
