regarding how easy to change. just done my upper and lower ball joints. so had to remove the knuckle and it was a bitch on mine. big hammer and not a lot of room to swing it trying to break two tapers. used a fair bit of heat as well. dont think i would have got it off without damaging the ball joints.
good luck.

Im still looking for a suitable replacement knuckle. Probably have more luck on monday when places are open, but would of liked to of got it done tomorrow. Need it for work tuesday grrrr

List of 'real' Haynes translations comes to mind haha

Haynes: One spanner rating (simple).
Translation: Your Mum could do this... so how did you manage to botch it up?

Lol

Don't worry I know someone who didn't think the oil light pressure switch mattered if it didn't work, next thing leg out of bed at 50mph on his 300tdi defender lol

or refit in reverse of removal basically means 'good luck getting that back together'

Or

Haynes: Refitting is the reverse sequence to removal.
Translation: But you swear in different places.

Haynes: Locate securing bolt.
Translation: Remember that worrying noise when you drove along the A38 last summer? That's where you'll find the securing bolt.

And (still laughing at this one)

Haynes: Apply moderate heat...
Translation: Placing your mouth near it and huffing isn't moderate heat.
Translation #2: Heat up until glowing red, if it still doesn't come undone use a hacksaw.
Translation #3: Unless you have a blast furnace, don't bother. Clamp with adjustable wrench then beat repeatedly with hammer.

Lol

Sorry Snelly
