So have just returned from a very long "faultless" drive in my P38.
No overheating no warning lights. All good.
Then...............................:crutch:
About 3 miles from home the Engine Management Light came on and the rev counter started to flick up and down repeatedly. The power dropped and I crawled home at 30mph (Couldn't go much faster). The car stopped completely twice when I was slowing to a near halt, but it did restart easily. (Big Shock when the power steering stops working!!!). A lot of faults showed on the info pane (Gearbox Fault etc) but I think that was just caused by the sudden stop and restart, anyway that fault went.
Managed to get home.
I am thinking Crank Speed Sensor wire has come lose (That's what it seemed like). Going to check later.
Any other things to check?
Thanks as always.
