Touched 140 briefly in my Vectra CDx on the M62 at 2 in the morning on way back from Scally airport. Escort GTi cruised nicely down the Autobahn to Frankfurt at a steady 130 ish, but 95 in me V8 90 frightened the holy **** out of me

Pulled away from a copper on a BMW who said he was doing 125. On my Rickman Bonnie. Negotiated for 70 in a 40 and a ticket for a none working speedo. Nice man! Only caught me because I stopped for a red light. The bonnie was fast but I never did get the speedo working proper.

yeh u could see the fuel gauge dropping allarmingly quickly....good job it had long rang tanks!
