Hi all, I'm a bit of a lurker on here across several forums...Series Defender and Discovery.
I'm after a bit of advice and opinion
I have a '68 Series 2a with very poor paint and various different colours having changed the panels over the years to try and get away from chequer plate filler and splits
So I'm at a cross roads now as to whether I sand down etch prime and hand paint as best as I can or strip the rest of the paint off and polish the aluminium to a lowish shine....I've seen a few over the years and secretly the 'pimp my ride' side of me quite likes it.
My question .....though I'm a big fan of do what you want it's your Landy will I knock the value badly if I polish her up or if I do a hand paint job....I can't afford to properly spray paint her. She's a bit of a bitsa with a tdi in her and as few of the panels are original
Hope you don't mind such a question
