Hi, Looking to get some new tyres for my 90, modular rims, 2 inch lift. Have been looking at 265/75/16, want an on/off road tyre, anyone have any suggestions?

I've just fitted the same size to mine with 2" lift on black mods. I bought Insa Turbo Dakars and I'm very happy with them. A little noisy on the road but then they are 80/20 off road biased. Depends on budget or what you want to use them for so bit of an open ended question that's worth a search as it's been asked numerous times.

Both look good tyres, fair price difference between them though. There are so many different tyres on the market of this type, it makes for a tough choice, keep the ideas coming

This topic has been done to death. Seriously.

Sounds like you want an AT tyre - in which case the Insa Turbos are out. Top choices typically are the BFG ATs and the General Grabber AT2s.

I had a set of the new Continental Cross-Contact AT's. I got them cheap and was in a hurry. So far I've got nothing but praise for them- towed a tralier of bark through a bog, where I totally expected to get stuck and went straight through without any spinning. They're also pretty good on the road, as far as I can tell in a 200tdi 110. No idea how long they'll last though. . .

I can imagine, with so many tyres on the market would it be a good idea to start a topic where ppl can write their own tyre review experiences and other ppl can then trall through for reference? :search:
