Timing chain

I havent taken it off so it presume it is.

Here a though, i had the pully on the tensioner off, could that be on the wrong way round?

Ok that rules that out. Everything is back on how it was.

Could the chain not be tight enough?

even so it should stay on if turning clockwise ,weres it ride off

Crank, just as the chain goes onto the flat strip on the right hand side.

comes of the guide onto crank you mean ?,guide is set so that it nearly touches chain

Yeah thats the one.

The chain is sitting on the guide, could it be catching somehow or upsetting the feed onto chain? I presume i just undo the two bolts and move it

worth a try they get grooved ,but grooves should be in line with sprockets

No luck with that.

Tried moving cam sprocket to a different keyway to get chain tighter but i had it on best one. Still slipping off the crank.

I can't really see it being work sprockets?

it should be tight that side anyhow especially when fitting and allways during use ,something must be out of line or chain buggered unless its skipping over with no weight on the cam and tensioner not working it has got the spring in the tensioner plunger ?

The tensioner has one spring in it.

I've looked at it side on and it all looks in like. It skips when its all built up with tensioner on.

Do i take the risk and but new sprockets and chain and the rest of the bits and hope it does the job?

Here are some pictures of the crank sprocket.

Any more knowledgeable members think it needs replacing? I cannot really see anything else that would cause it to slip of apart from this being broken.

I'm puzzled as to what else it could be then?

I could just replaced the whole lot of timing bits, i presume its got to be one of those bits that is causing it?
