Hi everyone I'm new here so a big hello to all of you.
I have just bought a 2litre diesel Freelander with 170000 miles on the clock; it has the L series engine. It’s a nice clean car and drives ok.
I know from the person I bought it from the timing belt has not been changed during the 5 years he has owned it.
So my 1st job is to change those belts. Can anyone please give me the dimensions of the locking pins so I can make some up before I start the job? I also intend to change the belt driving the diesel pump.
Also is it possible to do the job without removing the drive shafts as the manual states?
I think that's enough to be getting on with, thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Regards Phil
