Threaded aluminium case

I have a kam case on my rear axle. On tightening it it threaded itself and stripped the threads. A new case is expensive. Diff has just been repaired so i believe garage over tightend it as it was easy to undo. Hard one to prove so need a way to repair it.

Helicoil or timecert

+1 on helicoil.

Its dead easy to do and will be stronger than the original

Used Helicoils on my bike- they are really good

Ok ill have a look at helicoils. Casing is only 8mm thick. Will it still work.

Right kit it will or re thread next size
