Those little black and red things on the dash

What are they, My 109 dosent have them an I really dont fancy taking the dash apart to see what they do.

My boy reckons it's where you plug in the dilithium crystals.

Its for an inspection lamp I think (red is a positive connection and black is an earth), you just plug a connector into each one.

They are the power sockets, the forerunner of a cigar lighter. You can still get plugs for them to run lead lights etc. I have used the wiring from them to a cigar lighter/power socket to run sat nav. Only good for 8/10 amps though.

thanks, I don't care what they say that was really forward thinking, being able to plug in an inspection lamp so one could repair the Landy day or night.

My old Standard eight didn't even have such a luxuary.
