Spoken to a different dealer today and they had a much better attitude
To my frustrations and asked me to swing by so the can plug it in and
Check for faults before we start the customer complaints process :)
Thing is I'm not good at complaining but this is starting to P##s me off!

Sounds like you are having a rough time. don't be afraid to complain if done in the right way it does get good results. Good luck!

Popped into the dealer today but as it's now running sweet all I could do was discus it's symptoms with a mechanic and book it in for next week :(
I mentioned that I'm going to Portugal in 6 weeks to drive north to South along 340kms off-road and that I will be needing it sorted or a replacement ? That made the warranty guy gulp :)

It's so typical that it seems ok now!!! Mine has a funny little knocking noise from second to third, 3 knocks every time it happens, only very quiet, only from cold... doesn't happen every time, wouldn't ever be able to replicate it or make it happen at the garage

They all have their own personalities some more so than others !
I've got 8 tonne of top soil to move tomorrow thinking mite just do it in two trips "4 tonne of soil plus the trailer" that will make it work ! :)

Mine decided that half way down the motorway last night, that when I indicated, it would flash the trailer light on the dash... I don't have a trailer. I don't have a tow bar with electrics.

The trailer light is supposed to flash once when doing indication (even if you don't have any tow bar or tow electrics) - it is part of the warning system for the lighting circuit, if you did have working tow electrics and a trailer connected (with working lights), the trailer indicator light would flash in sync with your indicator dash light, otherwise you will just get a single flash from the trailer light whenever activating the indicators.

I can't remember the EXACT reason why it does it, but I believe it is something to do with sending a quick pink to check the load across the lighting circuit.

It isn't supposed to do it all the time. It just started yesterday, it was a fuse :) sorted now :)

It gets worse, the dealer has now surggested I should consider having it remapped at my own exspence to "iron out" it's problem ! So think it's time to email customer services and see what they think ?

Have a look at our " Have you bought a crock of **** ?" thread, it has some helpful pointers on dealing with a stroppy garage who have forgotten that the 'customer is always right' ... :D

and Good Luck

I've emailed customer care and told them the whole story, told them that I'm setting off to drive the mountains in Portugal in 3 weeks and that it's not fit for purpose ! No reply as yet?
