Hi I'm just in the process of fitting a new seal kit to the front right swivel ball and took the hub cap off to find this all bent any ideas on what would have caused this and if it's bad?

Yh I've got the dreaded Haynes manual that doesn't show the same axle configuration to what I have:/
To chuffin true,You don't wanna go messin around with critical parts of ya landy that ya don't fully understand.But I'm not being funny mate, to do the hub seals you're messing with brakes, steering and suspension, as I said get the right manwell before you go any further, or get someone to help/show or do the job for you. It could just save some tears.
Yeah I've got a mate that is a mechanic that is gonna help me I'm just starting to take it apart so it's ready to be sorted.

You should really replace that locking washer now too, someone has made a right mess of punching that one down, looks like they used a screwdriver or chisel.
You can bash them flat again, turn them 90° and then knock them down, but for 25p it's worth just fitting two new ones.
What's the best way of doing it then? I used a small chisel when I did mine, did the job but I wouldn't re-use 'em..!
I use a brass drift as it doesn't damage the washer and just for the record i never use them twice unless out in the field and it's the only option.
