if you think engines dodgy which if numbers been tampered or re-stamped could be ,but not necessarily, it be better to find out now than later when laning ,when you might look more responsible ,than matey who fitted it id think about asking police about it if matey hasant proof of legit purchase and explanation of

do you think you can trust him ? but if you think its a dodgy engine you do need to find out now rather than later as he will deny fitting it ,whereas your story now might wash as youve just got it back

Have you got a receipt?
Take it to police, tell them your suspicions and they'll look over it. It might end up costing you an engine. Why not get someone off here who knows bout numbers to look it over.

Small claims like I said earlier, you have a case, its over a grand and he will lose!
No I havnt got a receipt just proof of messages of wot he'd done I just want someone to check these engine numbers to make sure all is ok and then if so I will seek legal advice as I can't really afford to get This big oil leak out and the coolant leak sorted as I've paid enough

If you have messages on your phone screenshot and print them to comp or simply show police, they can trace number etc.
Or if you haven't yet called the guy out on this go see him and ask for a full written receipt then you have him cos they'll check it at a LR specialist and you'll see its a bodge if it really is

you ask any mechanic and the bloke before was useless ,though i have seen the answer that bloke that did the work before was so crap so thats why it cost so much, in a famous reception and the guy said you guys did it ,

Well for one thing as far as I could see he said the 200 and 300 turbo were the same, anyway engine swap to do in the morning and need to be up in time to have breakfast so I shall bid you adieu
