Not sure this post is in the right section, but long story short two thieving ****ers stole my lights last night whilst I was on a night shift. Truck lite 7" leds and bearmach side lights and indicators plus the TD5 style light surround trim.
I have done all the standard procedures, police, crime ref etc. My insurance is £425 excess, parts alone are around £580 - minus labour/fitting. I cannot be without lights as I need to work and live, so I spoke to my insurance and they said they cannot guarantee covering me .... if I were to source parts and install myself or use my own garage. Which is understandable and basically means NO. The problem being if they looked at a 92 defender they would probably have an idea on lights to source, but as everything replaced on the old girl is factory standard, bearmach or other OEM, they probably won't despite it all being genuine as can be.
So... my question, do I wait to see if I can get covered, or do I just run this risk, bite the bullet and spend another £600?
Ta very much in advance.
