some @@@@@@@@@ has just paid £112 for a landy back door on ebay!!!!!!! you can git them new fur £69 or £84 with heated glass. must go now as i have to put my rebuilt door on ebay. please tell me its not someone from this forum:eek:

There's a thought. Strip your Landy & bit by bit sell the components on Ebay. Then buy three more or so with the proceeds, then do it again ad infinitum. Eventually you'd start buying the Landies with the bits you sold fixed to them. Now that's recycling!

Don't be too hard on the @@@@@@@@@, some of them are my best customers!
I sell a bit on ebay and you can't believe how Stupid, Lazy,Thick or "have money burning a hole" some people can be! I've sold 2nd Hand CD's for more than what you can pay for down HMV!
If I had the space I would buy a couple of MOT fails and strip them for parts on ebay! But saying that I've also bought the odd Land Rover bargain or two on there.

Bought my III on there & she was a right result. It does give you an opportunity to open a dialogue & build a rapport with the seller, especially on more expensive items.

Have to confess though I did sell a promo DVD on there that came free with a magazine (I WAS honest about it too!)............for £34!

It's a weird phenomena! All original rusty bulkhead anyone? Excellent provenance, I can prove it came from a genuine Landy!

Couldn't agree more. My Disco also came from ebay, and like you say you build a rapport with the seller. Buy it out of your local "free ads" paper and you feel guilty if you have a look and ask too many questions.

£34 for a promo DVD? Top man! Now thats what I call profit!

You should put that "Rusty Bulkhead" on there and see what bids you get? You could be sitting on a gold mine!

you can get some good bargains on ebay but there are also some ****s that use it take the dude that bid a ship load of dosh for a cpu i had then, changed his mind, instead of just not paying or whatever he left feedback saying i had got a mate to inflate the price, which was bollocks. and even if i had i never forced him to bid the amount he did. or the ones that take forever to send stuff, then complain cos you complain.
on another note if a piece of buttered bread always falls butter side down and a cat always lands on its feet, what would happen if you tied a piece of buttered bread on to a cats back( butter side up) then threw the cat out a window. would it just hover in mid air???

My S3 was an Ebay Job too £400 Buy it now, didn't argue. I only bought it to pull my boat out the water but it lives at home now ... can't stop driving it!

Similar story: You can buy dashboard stickers from EMLRA's Tat Barrow for 50p, just the thing for finishing off your military SIII. A certain club member decided to have a little experiment and put one of these on ebay. He got 9 quid for it
