Right, here goes.
Bought a 1972 series 3 SWB. Love it and have started sorting little jobs. However, the thing doesn't start well and I noticed the heater plug light doesn't light on the ignition and flickers when the engine is turned over. Turns out it has a petrol ignition barrel do a diesel one has been ordered.
Then the battery went flat so I bought a new one but this has also gone flat after a very short time. The charge light doesn't light so I guess the bulb has gone but on looking at the alternator it looked very old. Took that off and am getting a new one this week.
Ordering a wheel and tyre package this week. Getting 265/75/16's. Already have a set of. 2" lift shackles to fit prior to fitting the wheels.
Bought a winch (when drunk) off eBay and it turns out it is only a 3000 lb winch. I guess this will be nowhere near man enough?
So with regards to all of the above, anyone got any hot tips or do's and dont's in relation to any of this?
