Hello fellow landy lovers,

I know it's all been said before....please bare with me....lol

As the title says, the rear axle is off, BUT i can't make my mind up wheather i should go standard springs and coils or 2" lift, after all a deeper profile tyre will give a better ground clearance for the diff.

If i go for a heavy duty cellular dynamic 40mm lift theres no difference in price from the light duty equivalent from island 4x4 so if i did the heavy duty would be the way to go.....may come in handy on those green lane days.

The thing is would i need to change radius/trailing arms and need a prop spacer?

I already have new brake discs, pads callipers ready to go.

Lift....yes

or

Lift...No

Camel Discos ran with 7.50X16 without a lift.

Suppose it depends on how you see your truck? I lifted my old RRC and actually found it a pain in the hole after as I actually didn't realize how badly the old springs had sagged, for me I would have been just as well to have fitted new STD springs and it would have gone up over an inch anyway.

why lift it ? it is more than capable without the poser stuff

Hi Dieselreek,

It's not about posing for me, i do prefer the higher ride height and sills are off the ground slightly more giving the vehicle better clearance when driving over rough terrain especialy at moments when on a camber.

Well thats what i have experienced in the past.

Oh just thought while pondering here:
May help when driving through a small river or stream and when in boggy ground.

Looks like i may be convincing myself here to spend the extra £50 or so for the lift.....lol

I don't just pose when i have a running vehicle.....but get down and dirty....lol

Can't wait to go laining or to a club meet again, its been a while.
