Hello everyone!
On the road to a total renewal of my LR - long, slow, enamored, difficult and very learning - I am faced with many doubts regarding the concept of renewal.
This LR will be my day-to-day car. Note that I live in the countryside and I have rural tourism. One of the objectives will be to take our clients to mountain walks, picnics, walks, etc.
As such, I aim to make it safe, reliable, comfortable and my own.
Below I leave my doubts - regarding the path of renewal and respect for the originality of my LR - and I would be very grateful if I had your opinions to reflect better and make decisions:
- Overdrive, High Ratio Transfer Case Kit, or none?
- Electric Power Steering Conversion, TDZ Power Steering kit, or none?
- Disc Brake Conversion Kits (Heystee, Zeus or Torrel?), Only Front, or none?
- Air conditioning, or not? (In the summer it's very hot in Portugal)
- Lay the benches with premium fabric or leave it in low-quality Napa?
- Radio? And if Yes, how?
- Last but not least, the color. I do not find it in the original colors. Maybe "Light Aircraft Gray". How can I be sure of the color and is that important?
Thank you so much. I'm very interested in your comments.

As you probably already know modifications to vehicles are not allowed here so tread carefully...when you say benches do you mean in the back? if so how many lugaras on the livret as that will all alowed

Three in each side, three in the cab = 9 seats

Yes, Shippers,
Thank you for your straightforward feedback.

Let me clarify that I'm all for keeping things as original as possible.
That's why, as you can see in the options I placed, everything (but the fabric of the seats/benches) is possible to use without any modification to the LR and all are easy to reverse.
And this is the main reason I ask these in here... Because I want to respect my LR history and it's genuine purity and simplicity without compromising on safety and, to some extent, comfort.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm new to this :)

I probably didn't make myself clear(replying quickly in the car)...
What I meant is any upgrades you make they must comply to vehicle manufacturers specification not aftermarket in case they get difficult at the inspection disc brakes is one area I would check out...are the bench seats already fitted in the back?...

I would add Rimmer Bros (based in Lincolnshire) as another potential source of parts they ship all over the world, I’ve used them myself and I’ve heard only good things about them

No. The car is in full renovation, a lot was missing or broken.

That vehicle that you posted a pic off is truck cab and wouldn't have bench seats in the back...unless you change the number of seats on the papers you can't fit them and if you do you will probably have to fit seat belts...I'm sure you know the inspections are very strict here regarding modifications from standard...replacing like with like in a renovation is ok just make sure any mods will pass...

Shippers, that is a piece of very valuable information. Are you absolutely sure no cab truck had a couple of bench seats in the back? The seller told me it had...
Thank you.

As I said before look at your vehicle papers it will tell you how many seats it is registered for...my 101 lists only 2 seats on paperwork so under portugese matriculation can register it as commercial saving thousands of € in tax...have a look at your vehicle paperwork and let me know...
Regards Rob...
