Thanks guys that would be just too simple I have already tried that but no luck I wonder if the other end ie the one you cant see is off or split but I can't find where it goes. Did a really simple job tonight replaced the bulb in the rear footwell light ...lens prises off ...new bulb goes back in ...magic but will the thing go back in its hole and stay there...no way... sellotape thats the answer.
