We have similar round here :eek: To be fair, this attitude has sometimes been caused by peeps driving roads that are not actually ROWs as well.
Most of the lanes down here and in Devon seem to suffer more from underuse than otherwise, I saw you posted about the saws earlier, I have been a few places not been driven in years and almost overgrown or blocked by trees.

Yeah the last lane hadn't been used in ernest for a while and a wet winter and dead wood coming down can make the lanes a bit of a clearing mission.


Just needed a little tlc :D

Unfortunately there are lots that are not terribly careful adhering to the tracks and byways.

Little bit of maintenance never does any harm :)

You are not wrong about that, we live on a two mile private road, and are always stopping peeps and shouting at em :D Not mainly 4wd, walkers, mountain bikers, trail bikes, dog walkers:( I am a gamekeeper, but I sometimes get out for a bit of poaching too :D

Very nice, looks like a great time was had :)

Much rather have that as a set of memories than the motley collection I gathered over the weekend but at least I've a happy (if hungover) niece and sold the grass on the field to a bloke with sheep.

One 9 acre lawn coming up :D

Well what a fantastic weekend guys, thanks to FK and BGB for leading us down some truly awsome lanes, i really thought id done some good lanes in the past but they were on a different level especially the last one on sunday, my disco was leaning over in the rut so far i really thought it was gonna tip over must have been close to 45% i was pressed hard up against my window lol, Did you guys get any pics of us goin through there ? it still amazes me just what these vehicles are capable of, and a great learning experince knowing when to use high and low gears and diff locks when needed, think some new tyres will be on the shopping list soon.
Great to meet some new people and fimiliar faces, great effort with all the cakes too lol,
Also have to mention the Seacroft B&B where i stayed, very nice couple, great breakfast and a very comfy bed so if your staying down there i would reccomend it, and hes a Landy fan lol.
So a fantastic weekend thanks to everyone for making it happen cant wait for the next trip.

:) we were down the bottom of one for a fair while ;) thanks to mr 'I'm on the river dart' farmer! Shame you couldn't make it but we'll see you very soon I'm sure :D
