So after 9 years of slowly going madder and madder I have arrived my p38 has only cosmetic faults easy to repair and am thinking should I go for a L322 maybe a 2008 petrol s/c old enough to be run in but hopefully young enough not to be knackered - any opinions sure there must be a few oh and might keep the p38 for back up:D

To be honest this is being driven by domestic management she wants donor vehicle gone the three engines gone the 4 sets of wheels gone and all the body panels women heh no pleasing them

The L322 is crap, look at all the problems appearing, the management will not be happy when it bankrupts you.

Well I expect things to be interesting after all look at all the "fun" my p38 has been thats why I was thinking 2008 year maybe some of the early probs had been designed out but then with Landrover new ones probably designed in

So let me get this right!
Youve spent 9 years and god knows how much £££ to fix up what was when you bought it a 6 year old car!
And now that its finaly fixed you want to start again with another thats more or less the same age yours was when you bought it?
clearly madness!!
If you like working on knackerd cars that much I can lend you mine

I didn't mean to buy it it was a bloke owed me money and gave it to me in exchange for the debt _ he wasnt as daft as I thought- to be fair it was great for two years then I started blowing it up well the engine anyway and battering round quarries but now just think it might be worth a change

Up until the 2010 they still had gearbox issues. The ZF has been consistently underrated for the power RRs put through them. Not as bad as early vehicles, but enough that you don't want to go too hard with them. At 5 years old they should have had their first GB oil change.

im not knocking the p38 ive had my fair share but ive owned my l322 vogue now for nearly 2 1/2 years & it puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it,imo far far superior ride/comfort/handling id never go p38 again, the fx4/p38/underpigeon finally killed it for me sorry boys & girls im with 2.0 hippo all the way:amen:
The ride is German hard as are the seats and the amount of thumping noise from the tyres/suspension on road irregularities is seriously bad.

:confused:not mine keith;) agreed its firm but silky smooth & quite as a mouse, everthing and I mean everything works as it should. as you know im not afraid to throw cash at it, whatever it needs it gets regardless, only + side with the p38 is its so easy to fix & parts are pennies
