Well just when You thought it was all sorted the one step forward three back rule applies my wife got in the car this morning and I noticed a brake light out so I opened the boot cubby hole to get a bulb and torx driver fitted it then the lock wouldn't turn my wife noticed the key was shorter and I presumed the end of the key must be broken in the cubby hole lock, well tonight I found out it must be in the ignition as it wouldn't turn or start. Having only one coded key I was full of dread wondering how on earth I get a new key, the old bit out and code to the ecu. My son gave me the contact details of a company that come out with no call out fees, remove the broken bit from the ignition and supply two new keys coded all in for £120 so I am having a sigh of relief it doesn't have to be towed away to Land rover dealers. The company is eastyorkshirelocksmiths.co.uk should you find the need for their services.
