I used it on a ratty looking steering wheel and it looks and feels great now. Clean it thoroughly with brake cleaner or similar then give it five or six coats as it is really thin but well worth taking the time, let it dry between each coat.
Edit: Don't worry about it being for leather, I used it on a black sponge type steering wheel.
