tech publications pdf?

Hi folks,

I have the "Original Technical Publications" for Disco 1 1989 to 1994 which includes parts oops, workshop manuals and owners handbooks.

Its on a CD rom, but has stopped working!

Anywhere i can get a PDF copy or downloadable one?

I have a link to loads of docs, but they are all for defenders etc, nothing for discos

Thanks for that less than helpful reply! I really dont know why forums promote themselves as being friendly and always willing to help when so many memeber like to use the response 'search' and dont even bother with a link after the reminder to search first.

Anyway, i had already read that thread! Along with many others. I have downloaded loads of documents now, but i still havent got a hold of the parts list. The download from your other thread has finished, but i havent been able to open the files to check if the parts book is in there.

Because I'm not here to wipe your backside for you. Why do i have to search for you? you have the same internet access i do.

Im here for the same reasons as you, thats to get help with things i don't know. If i can help others along the way then i will........but damn it get boring when the same questions are asked every day!

Buy your self a parts manual as those who run a disco before forums do

Never too harsh mate just the right amount of harsh I think, but it does make me smile just how quickly your p1ss can boil sometimes

I think it boils permanently and i just let it dribble out sometimes

I think it's the close proximity of said p1ss to those fiery knackers of yours that keeps it at boiling point, on a side note if it dribbles maybe you need your prostate checking

So, The rave CD is now downloaded and i can't use it as it is for PC only! Downside of having a mac!

So i guess there is nothing i can do other than buy the book?

This is my first post here! I am hoping for a better response than another forum which only replies with "use the search function" or sarky comments….I have given up with them!

I have just bought my first Landy, a 94 Disco geared up for offroading.

1) I want a copy of the parts manual. I have the RAVE CD, but it only works on PC, not Mac. I also have the original CD which has all the books on it, but that doesn't work on my computer either (maybe its the same as RAVE). So, is there any PDF….just PDF versions? I can't find them anywhere! If not, if i need to buy a hard copy, if Fleebay the best place? Found one for #30.

2) There is a 'clunk' when ever i pull off or change gear. I read it could be the UJs. I tried to rotate the prop shaft. To be honest, i am new to cars etc (this is a learning experience). The prop shaft didn't seem to have any play. Is there other UJs somewhere? Where are they all located? Anything else i need to check?
