Hi All,

First, Merry Christman to y’all!

I couple of days ago my front wipers stopped working. Every time I turn them on, I hear a kind of click but they don't move. I have to pull them up and down by hand. It seems like the wiper motor doesn't have enough power.

I just took the dashboard off partly to look at the wiper motor. Now I notice that when I turn the car on, the wiper motor immediately starts to move a little. When I then turn on the windshield wipers, it works as it should, I think. (See the link for the video)

Does this have to do with a worn motor? Or is the problem perhaps something with the wiper mechanism?

Could very well be the wiper rack which is worn, meaning the rail that comes from the motor and connects to both wipers. Had to replace mine 2 times over the years. I guess the motor is fine when you see/hear it moving.
Park switch maybe?

For wipers that are slow getting going and wipe, problem often is the issue of partial seizing of the spindle axle where it passes into the bulkhead. Another issue can be the lower bush in the wiper motor can going dry. Pull the little rubber caps behind wiper arm up a bit and oil shaft.
