Why is it that every time I bump into a BMW X5 on the road the ####er wants to race me? What's that all about? I've owned a few BM's over the years, I've raced a few cars at the lights in the BM's, mostly other sports cars but c'mon an old discovery 2 ? Again what's that all about? Anyone else suffer from this injustice? Maybe they are trying to get revenge after being pumped at the lights by a Range Rover. Lol

Because X5s are far, far, FAR less capable off road. They're jealous ;)...and BM drivers....and therefore complete cocks! :D :p (other cars are available for complete cocks to drive...and they do)

Show a road-going fat-alloyed X5 a green lane with a steep rocky incline and a bit of mud, then see if the D2 gets up there the fastest...

+1 lol, the jealousy is always noticeable from folks who arent driving proper off roaders. You probably find these X5 drivers have got stuck in snow etc while the landys cruise by. Ive actually seen an X5 struggling in the snow...hilarious.

I used to drive a BMW too before I had horses. Know what you mean though.

BMW's are hopeless in the snow, I think the tyres are too fat.

I know because I've got a 3 series BMW and I live on a hill, both my neighbours have X5's and none of us can get up the hill after it's snowed.

So if I want to go anywhere it's out with the 80" and a drive down some very quite roads.

A friend of mine has just moved to Oz and he very generously gave me his set of BMW winter tyres complete with rims, so we'll see how they perform if we get some snow.

Land Rovers are made to go where other vehicles can't, we have to be satisfied with that.

My dad used to have a 3 series m sport Beemer, they're the worst car I've ever seen in the snow.
More than half an inch of snow and you could forget it.
