TD5 vaccum solenoid question

Spotted this loose vacuum hose in the engine bay and can't see where it should plug in.

The hose in question is on the bottom of the solenoid.

Vehicle is a 2001 Defender td5

Is suspect it is something to do with the EGR, but the vaccum hose on the end runs to that, while the other taps into the main vacuum pipe off the pump.

Can't see your picture, but I have a 2001 defender.
On the offside inner wing there are 2 solenoid valves which operate the EGR, they take a vacuum from the pump which is mounted on the alternator and also serves the brake servo, they are teed into the main tube.
Because of this it is vital to be sure they are verry securely blanked if you remove them otherwise you will drastically affect the braking

Yes the lines on the front of the solenoid, one runs to a T-piece off the main vacuum line from the pump.

The other runs to the top of the egr.

The third runs toward the front of the engine somewhere, but I can't see anywhere obvious. I'm assuming it would run to the air intake system somewhere, but not sure.

Don't know if this helps but:

Above is the tee in the main line to the brake solenoid, mine is closed by a silicone plug and some clear silicone

On the inner wing there are two solenoid valves each should have a connection

Pictures are not fantastic did them with my phone hope it helps
