TD5 Tuning

Alive tuning done my remap after, they had a local dealer in Cardiff, so it was the only highly advised one close to me. The results was superb, highly recommend a remap! Does a VNT/Hybird turbo make much more of an impact after the remap? Might look into one next... seen Alive tuning had a TD5 pushing out 252bhp & 495nm torque the other day!

You see, everyone has their favourite

Mine was remapped by Alive and it produced far too much smoke, the Alive agent in Manchester wouldn’t do anything about it and l ended up having to get the Land Rover ECU reset by a dealer.
So l ended up £500 down in total with nothing to show for it.

Ah mine produces barely any smoke what’s so ever... (thankfully)
Did Gary from alive do yours? That’s ****e service if the dealer wouldn’t do anything about it.

Did you not contact Alive? I'm sure they would have sorted it for you. None of the responsible tuners want to see excessive smoke (unless you asked for it)

I did but they just contacted the agent to call me back, which he never did.

l think l was unlucky, nobody else seems to have ever had an issue with Alive Tuning.

l had Dynachip come out and remap the vehicle after that, he had to turn down the settings twice to remove the smoke.

After the Alive remap it produced more smoke than an SAS smoke grenade if you floored it, completely obliterating the vehicle behind.
