Td5 temp gauge

My temp gauge keeps going from normal temp ( half way) to 1/4 and then back up to normal temp. Is it normal in this weather or is a sensor at fault?

Check your thermostat. May be sticking

Have you topped up you,re coolant lately possible air lock. Try giving it a bleed. Costs nothing.

Coolant not touched since head gasket was replaced last may

Mine does it when wether is cold td5s have to theromstats this is normal. let me guess its on half then at idle it goes down?
