Someone else told me that you can use talcum powder as well to remove the die - well, it more of washes it out a bit and turns yellowy rather than the usual Cider n black type colour that it normally is.

It's "ALLEGEDLY" the way certain notorious criminal gangs do it ;)
 
ah think talcum powder would start to clog things up if you bunged it in yer tank.. maybe best to have a drum/vat to do it in first before putting yer doosel in yer tank. only fer the purpose of a scinentiffic eggsperiment you understand
 
It is a bit but then again, any old how diesel for use in a situation when it's tax exempt i.e. off road, farming, boating has a dye put in it so if your suspected of using it on the road it can easily checked.

And int it about time you cleared that dead cat up?
