Td5 oil leak

Hello lads, I seem to have a leak that's getting worse. Don't know if you can see by the picture but it pools on a ledge on the exhaust side of the engine where the torch is shining.Also you can see that oil has soaked into the rusty part of the exhaust, if you touch the nuts where it joins the woven piece they are oily. Any ideas. Cheers

Check the turbo oil drain, it can run down the flex pipe and drip off there. Might need a new gasket (pennies) and a bit of RTV - don't tighten the bolts beyond 9nm or they will shear.

Also check that the main oil filter is tightly fitted - the o-ring can perish on that too.

Another issue could be the rotary oil filter housing cover is loose - quite common for the bolts to strip the threads from the ali housing - fit longer bolts, or helicoil/timesert, or use threaded bar with nylocks either side.

If you're really unlucky the oil cooler is spitting out oil.
