That's OK, electrics arnt my strongest ability ;)

I may be barking up the wrong tree thinking as there is fuel running through the pipes the pump must be functional possibly LP. Just to get it started would be great.

It's just making a god awful noise and I have purged it a good few times but still no joy. Starting to be concerned that damaged has accoured as its been run on a veg/diesel mix

I hooked it up to my transporter whilst working on it so give battery the charge. When taking the fuel filter off it was white foam.

But of course the battery still may of been below 10.5v even with the transporter hooked up to it.

The pump is making an awful sound.

From what I gather a week ago my colleague tried using a 50/50 mix veg/diesel. However the bottom of the tank was a thick layer of fatty consistency material which completely blocked the pump, completely cleaned the pump and tank and put 10 litres of clean diesel in with a fresh filter.

Tempted to put my pump in from my Disco to see if she fires up.

Couldn't have stopped in a better place its parked in a parking space which to get put you need to go forward then reverse a bit to get vehicles out due to a lamp post in the way .....its all going against us :D

It can be the crank sensor as well but maybe the injectors are clogged if the pump was gunked up too. A diagnostic tool would help to see if it gets enough rpm input

It would be good to run a bit maybe it blows out some restriction from the fuel rail or something, it runs on spray even without ECU, just dont exagerate with that

some hints for non starter here

Thank you for that will go get some of that spray tomorrow, I have seen that a few people needed to purge their TD5's several times to get it to start.

As you say it may clean out any gunk which is blocking up the rail.
