FOR SALE 2001 TD5 84k miles Mot until March 25. Low miles TD5 thats had a lot of money spent on it and as a result, drives beautifully. Its specification reads like a who's who of the Land Rover world.

It’s been tuned by Jeremy Fearns, Old Man Emu 2” springs and shocks, ARB front and rear lockers (not tested these myself), updated brakes and brake lines, updated rear cross member, Ashcroft updated CV,s front half shafts and flanges, Bayley Morris prop shaft joints, diff protectors, heavy duty front bumper incorporating steering guard, Southdown Snorkel, 5 matching Mach 5 wheels with matching tyres that are new.

As you would expect there are loads of receipts etc with the car. The interior has new correct seats in denim twill and door cards, all doors are solid as is chassis and bulkhead. Nobody spends that much money in a Land Rover if the basics are not right. It drives well with no rattles or bangs and has no play in the drivetrain.

The body panels show marks from branches etc but are solid and I happily bob about in it without feeling like a scratter. This is my second 90 that Im selling ( other is sold) to buy a 110 station wagon big enough for kids and dogs. It is a brilliant working truck that would be great as a daily drive or ideal for someone wanting to do the green lanes. Based West Yorkshire.

Yes thats a good point they can be a bottomless pit when heart over rules head! I dread to think the money I have spent on various land rovers over the past 40 years and the ones Ive wished I had kept. Currently cash wise pretty much what Im asking to be honest, I have too much in it to drop anything really but if someone is standing there waving readies I might have to do a deal.

He want's what he's advertised it for :) :):):):)
Yes, but, will he ever get that for it ?
Could any TD5 be worth that much, or (conversley) that little ?

Ok I'll start the bidding. A bag of M&Ms minus the blue ones.
I'll up your bid with 1/2 a curly-wurly ... (if he taxes the car).

Begging your pardon all Ive been a complete numpty there as the price hasnt copied over with my inept copy and paste so apologies to all. Im asking £7995 for it. Curly wurlys and M&Ms are out as im under as much pressure tol ose weight from SWMBO as I am to get rid of Land Rovers.

Do you know I am so fed up of knobheads and tossers. Why does car buying seem to bring out the worst in people? How many people have arranged to come and view and then dont turn up, or you negotiate a deal and then suddenly you hear nothing? I dont know why people cant just play with a straight bat and be genuine. Ive no problem if someone changes their mind or finds one they want more but at least let someone know you are not coming. Not anyone from here I must add. Anyway rant over sorry.

Be careful giving out your address to strangers.
I would arrange to meet somewhere and disclose my address only if a deal is done.
Of course you will get time wasters, it's an annoying fact of life.

Theres a few cock up in miles on the MOTs with mileage of 533, 000 being recorded etc. The service history I have with it suggests its genuine miles going by the rate its been accrued and so on. I can only vouch for it as much as any second hand car to be fair but going by the paperwork I think its genuine.
