Hi

I have a TD5 that the immobilizer warning light doesn't go off. Just wondering if its a 10AS fault or ECU?

Central locking works
Engine starts (Doesn't start without fob being present)
Alarm works (If i unlock the door with the key without disarming with the fob)
Changed battery in the fob
Checked all fuses
Swapped the dash light binnacle (No change)

Any help would be much appreciated

The pink wire from the dash light (in the speedometer) is connected to the 10AS unit.
I would believe that it is the 10AS unit which controls the light.

Hi Mate

Sounds like you are starting the journey that I made last year. Good luck with sorting it out. Have a look at the diagram attached, it should help you resolve your problem.
After all my diagnostic work, it turned out that the 10AS was faulty. I just left mine in place and snipped a wire to disable it as the ECU had already had the immobiliser removed (or 95% removed!). All I know is that I dont have any immobiliser issues anymore and my light does still flash occasionally ! The previous owner of mine definitely had some kind of electrical meltdown as he had a go at the diagnostic plug and my engine warning light doesnt work!

Cheers
