Gave mine 6 purges, and towed it for 2 miles and still nothing.
I,m thinking that the ecu may need resetting as i did not disconnect the fuel lines or the battery...:confused::confused::confused::confused:
If all else fails i,ll sell/break it for spares..

I take it that you can hear the fuel pump running?

Did you press and hold the accelerator to the floor while cranking to purge the injectors too?

Check you haven't tripped the inertia switch in the engine bay while you were working on it.

the only other thing that I can think of is that your injector washers haven't sealed properly.

Would you happen to know the torque settings for the injector clamp bolts??
And yes the pump is working fine.
Thanks.

Here's a piccy guide of me doing mine with the torques settings etc for doing the job.... see post 27 in the link

I take it the inertia switch is the one that trips in the event of a collision.?

Yep. That's the one.:)

I torqued them down to 33nm so got that bit right...
So now i,m at a loss..
Thanks for all your advise.:deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

when it's running, is your fuel pump gurgling like it has air in it or has it quietened down?

You could try a quick squirt of easy start or carb cleaner down the air intake to see if that helps. Don't go chucking loads in though.

Fuel pump sounds the same as it did before i did seals. And i tried the easy start route too.. With the same result..
Had several experts look at it and we are all stumped...
When and if i find the problem i,ll let you know..
At the moment i do not know what to do:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Have you had it on a diagnostic computer at all?

Did you clean the crud out the injector bores before you re-fitted the injectors?

Get it into a garage and get them to screw a fuel pressure gauge onto the fuep pressure regulator.

Getting it plugged in to pc on Tuesday.. And we did clean out the injector bores before refitment.
Thanks again for all advise and will keep you posted.
What i,m tempted to do is sell it for spares or repairs and move on...Must be worth around £1500.:smash::smash::smash:

Thanks again for all your help and advise mate.
I,ve just put TD5 in the classifieds on here.
Cant be doing with it any more...Have health issues.:Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry:

Before you sell it and then kick yourself for doing it... At least stick it on a diagnostic computer again.

Its on diagnostic pc this afternoon. But at the end of the day i,ve lost faith in this vehicle so i think i,ll let it go cheap and someone else can benefit from it.
Thanks M8.:scratching_chin::scratching_chin::scratching_chin:

Been put back till today m8. Nothing worse than relying on some one else eh.:rolleyes:

Right,
Its been on the diagnostic pc and loads of codes came up..
The numbers off of the injectors have been re-entered and the ecu reset and still it will not start...Probably needs dragging but i cannot be assed...:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Gonna go over the garage and drag start it...
I,ll let you know the progress later.:(

Take a photo of or jot down the codes and post em up on here. They could help give the game away.

Dragged it for 2 miles and it fired up lovely twice but then just died...Battery is now flat with all the purging... I give up totally...
Codes are as follows... BGNGA3 NO-1 INJECTOR
BNFMA3 NO-2 ---"---
NGFMC4 NO-3 ---"---
NBFBA3 NO 4 ---"---
FMGNA3 NO 5 ---"---
Just gonna sell it now and kiss away around £1500 quid...:boom::boom::boom:

You've listed the injector codes.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D

We're after the fault codes ya useless bugger. If it was running until the injector seals were done, My money is on it being an incorrectly fitted injector seal... It is only a guess though.
