TD5 fuel filling problem

When filling up with diesel the fuel keeps backing up and gurgling before clearing. Is there a breather pipe that lets out the air when filling? Takes forever to fill up and keeps covering mi boots with fuel

Breather exits just next to filler tube, mine does same, but only in Tescos....
Fine in other garages, think it may be something to do with the addatives.

The breather from the tank to the filler neck may have collapsed or kinked.

Have a look at the picture below for the component parts.

I have exactly the same problem on my 52 plate range rover. I had a look at the diagram but could anyone give me some guidance about how to get access to see and check the breather pipe?
