Get the proper spanners. Look on D2 Boys Club and you'll find them there. They make this job a doddle.

Do you have a link please?
However severely tempted by an electric fan, my last car had 3!!!!!!
Just put electric fan on my td5 90, though they run happy under normal conditions with out a fan. Run mine for ages without one. yours a disco or defender.
that's not ''healthy'' on a long run... the gauge leaves the middle at 120*C and you'll be amazed how ''happily'' a td5 is running at 105-110*C and you don't even notice it ...just realise after some 10k miles that you have a cracked head or something... maybe in UK's weather the electric fan is enough but where the temperature exceed 25*C a viscous fan is compulsory as the electric can't cool enough... I know from my own experienceJust put electric fan on my td5 90, though they run happy under normal conditions with out a fan. Run mine for ages without one. yours a disco or defender.
when it will crack at least you'll know why
No need to remove the fan to change the auxiliary belt. Just a socket on the tensioner
Whilst the belts off check your idler pulleys are ok
Mine siezed resulting in needing noo belt, noo idler pulley and noo crank pulley
