hi. my 2oo1 td5 front passenger window when you hit the button would go down about an inch and stop with a very loud crack,strippede off the door pad and it was one of the plastic nobs in the window regulator guides had broken got one off ebay a bit fiddely to change the regulator but not to bad. it states in the haynes manuel to remove the door mirror and the inner and outer waistline sealing strips .there is no need to remove them to change the window regulator.

Hi Alan....Ive just sorted out the front electric windows on the lad down the streets Disco 1 and it had smashed the white plastic runner slides on both sides,

Glad you got it fixed

Did you replace the round white plastic runner wheel, or the whole regulator and if so how much did you pay, don't mind me asking.

Ive just done my mates Disco 1 front windows....I replaced the white plastic wheels,they were fun to do as they are held in with mushroomed over rivets.

hi. idont think replacing the plastic runner is an option.i got a new rgulator off ebay for about £24 +about £6 p&p
