Hi everyone,
This afternoon my daughters Discovery TD5 engine Discovery year 2,000 (Millenium model), suddenly started to run slightly rough-not the sort of roughness associated with an injector out,but between idle and around 2,000 RPM it definitely had lost its normal smoothness. Is it likely to be an injector not performing as it should.Strangely,It was down to around 1/8 of a tank of fuel left before I filled it with fuel-still the slight hesitancy present after fuelling-co-incidence or not I wonder? If I were to fit a new injector,do they need to be coded to the vehicle? If the vehicle is hooked up to Land Rovers own diagnostic kit, would a fault of this nature show up?
Any advice would be most welcome-I am used to working on the old Disco's without mountains of electrickery!!
Thanks in anticipation,
Regards-Adrian
