My dash is knackered - previous owner has chopped at it and basically its a dogs dinner so replacing it.

I spotted a few TD% dash's online and think they look quite a nice upgrade.

Am I right in saying the later TD5 dash is the one that was revamped and bit smarter looking and that the early TD5 dash wasn't that much different in appearance? Post 2002 is it?

Reason I ask is I think I can get a complete TD5 dash for a good price...clocks, warning panel - whole lot.

And I spotted a few pics online - some look quite similar to my own but some look quite different - which is the one I like the look off.

Think I am correct but just wanted to fire the question out to you guys as get pretty definitive answers on here!

I know it does seem like a lot of effort and I haven't a clue how about wiring so I am dreading it.

But my dash is knackered.

And I much much prefer the 'later' TD5 dash which is what I am assuming the post 2002? ones are. I think they look neater.

If I was expecting to pay the £2-300 odd quid like some are paying then I would think twice and maybe just replace my dash like for like.

But I can get one for a reasonable price for everything inc the bolts and screws and since

£2000 spent on this Landy since buying in October (you wouldn't even notice it!!!) says its for keeps so its worth the hassle for me to make it 'fit' me.

That's originally what I was actually asking though. I'm having a complete dash assembly put together for me - I asked for post 2002 one as that's would I assumed was the one that looks quite different...neater, centre console etc. I just wanted to check I was definitely 100% correct in this.

So I am thinking its worth the hassle

Hi Hibridni,

Do you have a photo of this dash and Instrument panel please,

I did not know it changed that much from 2000 to 2002.

Cheers

Yeah sure.

I was told this is the later TD5 dash and that it was post 2002. Was under impression that earlier TD5 didn't have the console just little place for a stereo.

I could be waaay wrong here which is why I wanted to ask you guys.

Photo just nicked from google. I see few little gauges at bottom on this and little screen but ignoring these - rest of dash is what I am told is the post 2002???

You can fit the td5 dash and maintain your normal clocks. Hence no need to alter any wiring. There is a couple of pics in my gallery - for some unknown reason I'm unable to upload any pics into my gallery. Since taking those pics I've fitted a raptor dash - you'll need to search raptor dashes.

Well worth the effort.

Yeah I know - had considered just replacing dash like for like (dash is fecked - been hacked at - badly) and adding console. But think the whole TD5 dash looks smarter and can get the entire dash right down to screws and all buttons on console etc for just few pounds more than that one you linked.

So despite the hassle - makes sense for me to just do it.

But fact that console is for up to 2002 suggests I am correct in saying post 2002 is the further revamped dash!

Saying 'TD5 dash' is confusing - 2000 or post 2002 are both TD5's.....!

My 2000 has just the centre stereo box and rear wash/wipe and 12v socket below. Post 2002 ish indeed had the big centre console dropping down to the fusebox area with most of the switchgear - hence all the rewiring needed.

If you 'haven't a clue about wiring' not sure you'd want to leap into this and short it out / burn the lot......?? !! ;) A

Yeah but you gotta start somewhere and although I've no clue...I'm no dummy and pretty sure I can work my way through it. Anyway got it confirmed that post 2002 is definitely the further updated dash which is the one I like so its going in! Thanks for the help.
