Hi all does anybody know of a reccomendable head supplier,as my brain has almost popped!
Started having rough running(like on four cylinders) about 50miles ago. Checked round engine and saw fuel dripping from fpr, noticed fuel pump noisy (whistling gurling) no smoke. Checked water ok, Checked oil ok, no other substansial leaking anywhere.
Ordered new fpr,gasket,diesel filter and injector seals just incase, thought while im at it il do oil change filter and spin filter.
Drained old oil out, no trace of diesel in that! Changed filter and spinny thing, filled engine with 6l of oil, thought when i ran it up id top up as necessary.
Changed fpr and gasket (bit fiddely but some good guidance on here) bled fuel system using ign on depress acc pedal 8times, repeated bleed noticing fuel pump still noisy. Started engine and found lots of white smoke emitted smelling of diesel, took for test drive found white smoke subsided after about 3 miles (thought it was excess fuel in cylinders) did a further 10 miles pretty much smoke free, got back on the drive then the white smoke returned.
Checked oil level and found it was over the H mark!!! thought i must have cocked a seal up so had rocker cover off and smelt diesel, had all the injectors out again no trace of it getting past those new seals.
Drained all the oil out and found i had just over 8 liters of liquid. Thought it must be going somewhere! Had a fag an a beer and sat and scatched my head in thought...........
Turned ign on to prime pump and diesel ran out of the sump plug hole! I am thinking this means head gasket or cracked head any of you chaps can confirm that????
