Any of you td5 owners rigged up a side light to work in the fog light lens on the bumper i quite fancy having four rear side lights like my 300 tdi ?

you would the have to fit separate foglight(s),don't you need them for the mot?

No i meant fitting the side lights alongside the fogs so they both still work

No, can;t say I have felt the need. Don't see any particular reason not to, however, if that's what floats yer boat. Not sure how easy to secure the bulb holder in limited space tho,

It seems that all modern cars now have just the pair of tail lights so the D1 set up is very old school, a bit like the D1 itself, I haven't see another in months.

Fitting a duel function bulb holder with a twin filament bulb comes to mind, without seeing what your existing lamp setup looks like.

Well i just popped the light out to have a look there is miles of room inside the lens but the the way the wiring is done makes it tricky as there is only one plug for the indicator and the fog light with solid bars running along the back of the fitting to each bulb, so it could be a case of drillinga small hole for the wires and somehow fixing the bulb holder inside the lens aperture shouldnt be to difficult
